Collecting ConversationsSaturday, August 06, 2016 - Saturday, January 07, 2017

Everyone collects something. People keep objects to pass down through their families and buy keepsakes to remind them of their travels. Some seek objects that can teach them about the world. Others collect items that are valuable, beautiful, rare, or just fun things that make them laugh.

The Starks and Lutchers of Orange, Texas collected many types of objects for a variety of reasons. "Collecting Conversations" explores objects they collected for beauty, history, knowledge, and self-expression. Follow the collecting habits of three generations of one family and think about why you collect.
