Brilliant: Cut Glass from The W.H. Stark House

Exhibition Info
Brilliant: Cut Glass from The W.H. Stark HouseOn view during First Floor Fridays starting May 19, 2023

Miriam Lutcher Stark spent years filling her home with items to reflect both her family's status and her personal style. This included a large collection of American Brilliant Cut Glass (1867 - 1917).

Many of these items once adorned the dining room table, used at mealtimes by family and friends. Some held fresh cut flowers to decorate rooms throughout the house. Others provided light for reading in the evening hours. Today, they are on display for you to enjoy. We invite you to look closely and discover what made this period in American glassmaking "brilliant."
