DescriptionWoven yucca basket with diamond designs.Label TextThe Hopi Tribe is a sovereign nation located in present day Arizona. The Hopi have lived in this desert land for centuries. Second Mesa is one of three areas of the Hopi lands. A basket maker from Second Mesa wove this bailed basket. Residents of Second Mesa have a tradition of making beautiful baskets, especially using the coil technique.
