Label TextLater in his life, Russell had so many cards to send that he had them printed, rather than hand drawing all. This one has some coloring applied by hand. For this card, he made a self-portrait on horseback. He again used the image of the holiday toast. His poem draws a contrast between those who offer heartfelt good wishes and “grouchy givers.” Russell sent this card to John Young-Hunter, a friend and fellow artist.
