Label Text:“Everything in nature has something to say to us,” wrote Inness. Throughout his career, he had an emotional connection to nature. His painting style changed dramatically. Early in his career he painted realistic, tightly controlled landscapes. Later his style became more ethereal. He worked primarily in the East, but late in his career spent some time in California.
