Label TextMiller was hired to document Captain William Drummond Stewart’s trip to the Rocky Mountains. He sketched scenes of adventure. In Striking Back, Coming to the Rescue, he depicted a buffalo hunt. The buffalo has brought down the horse of the Indian hunter. The hunter flees as rescuers ride up to the scene.
