Label TextHennings depicted an almost timeless image of two hunters in a landscape. The artist’s style, however, asserts a modern approach. He uses loose brushstrokes, especially in the landscape. The linear pattern of trees makes a rhythm that bursts into exuberance with the elements of twisty trunks. One dramatically placed aspen defines the picture plane. It reminds the viewer that this is a created scene.
