Label TextSpending summers at a ranch near Sabinal, Texas, inspired cowboy themes in the art of Mary Bonner. She was born on a plantation in northern Louisiana. Bonner moved as a child to San Antonio, Texas, with her family. She briefly attended the University of Texas, and then studied art in Woodstock, New York. Mary Bonner traveled to Paris, France, to master printmaking.
