Label TextRemington wrote this letter to Riccardo Bertelli. Bertelli was the owner of Roman Bronze Foundry. Bertelli and his company cast Remington’s sculptures in bronze. The excellent artisanship of Bertelli’s firm contributed to the success of Remington’s work. The two men were also friends. In this letter, Remington urged Bertelli to visit him at his summer retreat. He wanted Bertelli to bring a photograph of his sculpture in production, Polo. The sculpture portrayed three men on horseback in a polo match.
