DescriptionNew York; 50 plates.Label TextAfter completing The Birds of America, John James Audubon set out to document the four-legged animals that bear their young alive. With the help of his sons, he published 150 illustrations of American mammals in three volumes. The Rev. John Bachman coordinated text to accompany the pictures.
