Label TextMiriam added to her collections when she traveled. She, like many collectors at the time, was interested in Napoleon. Her family toured nine Napoleon related sites while they were in Europe. On May 1, 1913, Miriam wrote “...Cathedral [in Milan] … begun in 1386 and not finished yet. In 1805, Napoleon 1st is said to have added some parts to it.” She collected objects and books about the French Emperor and his wife.
