Label TextThe interior of this Chinook cedar lodge shows elements of everyday life. Sleeping berths line the walls. In the center is the fire pit for warmth and light. Smoke escapes through the hole left in the roof. The screen at the end probably serves a ceremonial purpose. Thus, the interior supports both secular and sacred life.
