Label TextTo make a woodcut print, Baumann planned his design and colors. He carved a block for each color he wanted to use. He cut away the areas he did not want to print. To make his planned print of Bound for Taos, Bauman carved blocks for these colors: black, blue, purple, green, ochre, and yellow with blue. He carved this block for the black.
