Set included sketch, wood blocks, progressive proofs and final print.Label TextGustave Baumann visited New Mexico for the first time in 1918, and shortly thereafter, he made it his home for the rest of his life. The southwestern sunlight captivated him. His first destination was the artist colony of Taos. Even though Baumann settled in Santa Fe, Taos would always be an attraction. This print conveys the compelling allure of Taos. The artist used vivid colors and a composition pulling the vehicle onward to its end point just out of sight.
