Label TextDatsolali made these baskets. Curtis cited the “fineness and regularity of the stitches.” He also admired her designs and use of materials. He noted that the Washo exhibited “a high degree of skill and artistic taste in basketry.” They used willow rods and bark. Other materials were bracken-roots and redbud-bark. Volume Fifteen records California and Nevada tribes. It includes Southern California Shoshoneans. It documents the Diegueños. It also features Plateau Shoshoneans. It concludes with the Washo.
