Label TextRemington portrayed the dangers of cowboy life. In this sculpture, the small rattlesnake has struck fear in the powerful horse. The animal coils his forelegs to evade the snake. The cowboy bends his body in reaction and holds on tight. He uses his free hand to hold onto his hat, so there is confidence that he will prevail.
