Label TextIn The Mountain Man Remington depicted the fur trapper who roamed the Rocky Mountains in an earlier time, the 1830s-1840s. His portrayal of the rider descending a steep mountain evokes the dangers of the wilderness. Yet the mountain man appears secure in his ability to survive.
