Label TextEllis’ The Trout Stream captures the warm of fall foliage. The artist applied his paints in an impressionistic manner. Ellis used thick application with evident brushstrokes, creating a rich texture. He used color descriptively, showing a range of oranges, yellows, and golds in the leaves of the trees.
