Label TextIn 1846 Kane joined a band of Métis (or half-breeds) south of the Red River Settlement for a buffalo hunt. Kane not only witnessed but also participated in one of the last major hunts on the Winnipeg prairies. In this unfinished sketch Kane attempts a panoramic view of the hunt.
