DescriptionThe legend of Jonny Appleseed.Label Text“Johnny Appleseed, whose real name was John Chapman, had a vision of Heaven in which it appeared as a vast place filled with rows of apple trees in bloom. Until his death in 1845 he traveled from Massachusetts to Missouri (mostly west of the Alleghenies) planting orchards and preaching a weird interpretation of the scriptures. It is said that orchards of his planting still bloom in Indiana valleys.” Sidney Waugh
