DescriptionHorizontal oil painting depicting nightscape with a low adobe building. A pair of horses stand to the side of the building by a fence. Scrubby brushes grow in the foreground and trees rise in clusters behind the house and the fenced yard. The dark night sky in the above occupies most of the scene.
Label TextBerninghaus found a modest adobe farmhouse to be a worthy subject for his brush. Under the dark evening sky, the lights of the humble house shine with warmth and comfort.
