Label TextSharp’s floral paintings descended from a tradition of European still life paintings. The artist obtained his training in Munich, Germany, and other art centers. There he saw the Dutch paintings of precise arrangements of objects. With Spring Flowers, he made a more impressionistic still life. The soft and feathery flowers sit on a floral-patterned cloth, blurring the perceiving of real flowers and manufactured blossoms. The background shawl reflects the colors of the flowers, extending the atmosphere of the bouquet.
