Don Wier

Born in Orchard Lake, MI, he resided in Stratford, CT for may years before moving to Maryland. He worked for Steuben Glass, NY, as a designer, and his work included in the collections of the Detroit Institute of Art, and the Museum Royau of Art and History, Brussels, Belgium. He is represented in the private collections of King H.M. Baudouin I of Belgium, King Frederick IX, Queen Ingrid of Denmark, and Crown Prince Akihito of Japan. He designed the Kentucky Cardinal Urn, and the Seattle Centennial on display at the Performing Arts of the Lincoln Center. He is listed in Who's Who in American Art and the International Who's Who in Art and Antiques.

Wier received an AB degree from the University of Michigan and studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, the Grand Central School of Art, and with J. Scott Williams.
