Label TextThis portrait of a Saulteaux Indian was probably made at the time that Kane accompanied the Métis on a buffalo hunt. Although not mentioned in the text of Wanderings, this portrait is identified in the Portrait Log which Kane kept on his journey: "Na-taw-waugh-cit A Soto. The man that was born. This man wanted 2 horses for his robe."
