Label TextThe flung-open door invites the viewer into this adobe home. A Persian rug hangs above a Windsor chair. On the floor are rugs, probably intended to represent Navajo weavings. Behind the door is another weaving, saddle blanket size. The interior is a mix of cultural objects with a strong emphasis on patterns. The window with a hanging plant draws the viewer’s eye. Nature beckons. Although the artist does not tell us whose home this is, the viewer can construct an idea about the inhabitant.
