DescriptionIllustrated letter with self-portrait.Label TextIn 1903 Charles Russell and his wife Nancy traveled to his hometown, St. Louis. She hoped to exhibit some of Russell's paintings at the forthcoming St. Louis World' Fair. Humorously portraying himself in fashionable eastern clothing, Russell sent greetings back to his friends at the Maverick Saloon in Great Falls, Montana.
