Label TextOnderdonk depicted a landscape that was pastoral and contained, but vibrantly alive with the color of wildflowers, specifically the bluebonnet. Born in San Antonio, Texas, the artist went to New York for training, but returned to his home state. Onderdonk found in the Texas countryside the inspiration for his vision of the landscape.
