Label TextRussell delighted his friends with illustrated letters. Early in his career, Russell illustrated envelopes with the same flair as his letters. On this envelope he portrayed the idea that the communication was tracking down the recipient. He depicted a group of Native American men following a trail of prints in the ground. Russell wrote a unique return address. “If you cant trail him down in 10 sleeps return to CM Russell Great Falls Mont.”
