DescriptionYarn colors are red, white, and navy.
Label TextSaxony yarns, of German manufacture, became available through trade in the mid-1800s and were probably the first commercial yarns used by the Navajos. The silky sheen and rich color of the yarn were valued by Navajo weavers. This blanket is woven entirely of Saxony. This design features diamonds and zigzags, element seen in Chief Blankets.
