Label TextJack Evans has two important roles in rodeo. As a stock contractor, Evans supplies animals for rodeos. As a pickup rider, he assures safety for competitors. Two pickup riders work at the end of bucking events such as saddle bronc and bareback riding. One pickup rider will help the competing cowboy to leave the arena. The other pickup rider will make sure the animal goes to a pen.
