DescriptionLimited edition volume of The Mustangs by James Frank Dobie, with illustrations by Charles Banks Wilson. The volume includes a limitation page signed by both the artist and the author with an original drawing by Charles Banks Wilson tipped in on the page facing the limitation page.
Label TextThe Mustangs is J. Frank Dobie’s history of the wild horses of Texas. The author combines legend and fact to spin an engaging history of this iconic animal. Dobie wrote in a style that was easy to read and engaging. Charles Banks Wilson illustrated the book with vivid line drawings. (See the pen and ink drawing for The Mustangs on the gallery wall.) This copy of the book is a first edition, as well as part of a special edition of 100 books. This Pinto Edition has a pony hide cover. It also has an original drawing inside and signatures of the author and illustrator.
