Label TextIn this letter, Remington discussed the model for his sculpture Polo. The foundry would use it to make bronzes of three horses and riders colliding in a polo match. It was a dynamic composition, but the subject was not as popular as his Western cowboys were. The letter reveals the artist’s zeal to complete the process. He wanted the foundry to take the model and then he wanted to know when he could come in to do retouching. He was cautious, however, in protecting his copyright of the sculpture.
