Label TextRemington worked closely with the foundries that cast his sculptures into bronze. He wanted the best work possible. From his home and studio in New Rochelle, New York, the artist corresponded with Riccardo Bertelli, the owner of Roman Bronze Works in Brooklyn, New York. Bertelli and the workers at his foundry cast most of Remington’s bronzes, using the lost wax method. This brief letter notifies Bertelli of a shipment. Remington sent four boxes of plaster pieces for the foundry to use in making Remington’s bronze of Coming Through the Rye. The artist was anxious to know that they arrived safely.
