Label TextRemington worked closely with Bertelli and the Roman Bronze Works foundry. The artist wrote this letter about his monumental sculpture “The Cowboy”. Remington had received a commission to create a sculpture for Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Fairmount Park Art Association came to Remington’s studio to see the model. The artist wrote “and from what I could judge they liked my model very much.” After the design was approved, a studio artisan would make an enlarged model. Remington asserted that he would finish the details.
