BiographyRadio Corporation of America (RCA) was founded in 1919 as an electric company. In 1926 they purchased the Victor Talking Machine Company and folded their phonograph and record products into their operation. In 1932 RCA Victor founded the Bluebird Records label to create low cost records during the depression. The RCA Corporation went defunct in 1986. It was aquired by GE and Sony Music Entertainment. Sony still distributed the songs recorded by Victor and RCA Victor including Bluebird Records.
